Kapnick Gift

Mary and Harvey Kapnick
Mary and Harvey Kapnick
Dear Business Institutions Community:

I am writing to share some exciting news with you!

As you may have read in the Daily Northwestern, the Kapnick family has very generously made another significant gift to the Business Institutions Program in honor of their father, former Northwestern Trustee Harvey Kapnick. This investment will allow us to further expand student programming, course offerings, and opportunities for students to engage with alumni and business leaders. In recognition of the expanded range of activities that this gift will enable us to undertake, we are changing our name from the Harvey Kapnick Business Institutions Program to the Harvey Kapnick Center for Business Institutions.

This new gift will provide support for curriculum development, with an increased focus on data analytics, undergraduate summer internships and research, faculty research, visiting executives in residence, lecture series and alumni networking events, and advising and career support. As I hope most of you are aware, we are currently in the midst of introducing an exciting new version of the Business Institutions Minor that will allow students to take a greater range of fundamental business tools courses, many of which will be taught by Kellogg faculty. This new gift from the Kapnick family will also allow us to better support this new expanded set of course offerings and build further upon it.

Stay tuned for announcements of future new developments and initiatives as we begin to put the Kapnick family’s new gift to use. Also, if you would like to read a little more about the gift or the man it honors, Harvey Kapnick, please see Northwestern’s official announcement of the gift here.

Sincerely,

William P. Rogerson
