Ginger Pennington

Marketing Management

Ginger Pennington is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in Northwestern’s Harvey Kapnick Center for Business Institutions and the Department of Psychology. Ginger earned her Ph.D. in Social Psychology from Northwestern University and her B.A., magna cum laude, in Psychology and Sociology/Anthropology from Knox College. Prior to joining the Northwestern faculty, Ginger was a member of the faculty at the University Of Chicago Booth School Of Business, teaching MBA-level courses in marketing strategy.

Ginger has also worked as a marketing consultant, specializing in brand strategy, consumer perceptions, and non-profit organizations. Ginger’s academic research focuses on human motivation and self-regulation. Her work has been published in book chapters and academic journals including the Journal of Consumer Research, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, and Journal of Experimental Social Psychology.
